The National Parks Conservation Association wants you to respect wildlife when visiting our national parks this summer. Many wild animals “crave the salt in people’s sweat,” so the NPCA advises taking special care of your sweat-soaked clothes, rather than leaving them out where animals can smell them. Wildlife like mountain goats will stalk humans once they detect the odor of sweat, so keep your dirty clothing bagged or rinse it right away.
