About Harriette Cole
Harriette Cole is a life stylist, nationally syndicated advice columnist, motivational speaker, features writer, wife and mother. She is the best-selling author of seven lifestyle books covering topics such as wedding planning, self-growth, family and etiquette.
Cole's experience in editorial is extensive. She served as lifestyle editor and fashion director of Essence Magazine, founding editorial director of Uptown, editor of American Legacy Woman, and creative director and editor-in-chief of Ebony magazine. She is also a contributor to TheRoot.com. In addition, Cole has been a guest on "The Today Show," "Access Hollywood," "The Insider," "The Oprah Winfrey Show," BET and others.
As president and creative director of Harriette Cole Media Inc., a life coaching, style and literary production company, Cole coaches recording artists as the develop their careers. She has worked with such notable Grammy award-winning musicians as Alicia Keys and Mary J. Blige. She also provides leadership and media training to advertising executives, corporate leaders and students. A Phi Beta Kappa alumna of Howard University, Cole is originally from Baltimore, and now makes her home in New York City.
