If you have to print out documents, make sure you don't waste any paper. Opt for double printing on the front and back side of the paper before you hit PRINT. To do this, many laser printers offer a function that lets you choose "double-sided printing" for all your documents. It can be as simple as a click of the mouse to reduce your paper usage in half.

One simple way to insulate single pane windows for the harsh winter months is to look no further than bubble wrap. The insulating properties of bubble wrap can actually double the efficiency of windows, and it couldn't be any easier to do. Just fill a spray bottle with water and cover the entire window with a fine mist. Cut bubble wrap to size and place on top of the glass. That's it. It'll stick for as long as you want, and you can easily remove it when you no longer need it.

While we all know that it's easy to recycle cans and bottles instead of throwing them away, we often forget about the more unusual items that can also be recycled. When you need to replace your car battery, don't give it away to the repair shop to have them properly dispose of it. These car batteries are expensive products that many manufacturers will buy back in order to recycle, using components to make new batteries. It can be as simple as calling the dealership from where you bought your car and inquiring about getting some cash for your battery trash.
