Raid your office commissary and take a few day-old bagels home with you. Run a piece of twine around the bagels and hang them on a tree outdoors near a bird feeder. The bagels will be devoured by birds and the occasional squirrel, and the best part is that the whole thing is edible. No mess!

Did you know that tens of millions of trees are cut down every year to make chopsticks in China? While you may not be living in China, you may enjoy serving dim sum and other Asian delights at home. Think green with your serving pieces by investing in reusable chopsticks in lieu of the cheap, disposable ones. Lots of kitchen supply stores stock reusable sticks, so look for them and stock up.

Reuse and sharing is everywhere if you know where to look. If you're planning on doing a DIY home repair project this weekend, consider renting tools instead of buying them. Many home improvement stores have little-known rental sections that will let you borrow pricey tools, such as paint sprayers, carpet cleaners, pressure washers and so much more, at a fraction of the cost.
