This morning, carefully review your yard for any rabbit nests. When you find a nest with baby rabbits, mark the area with a bamboo pole and do not mow the lawn on or around the nest. You and the baby rabbits' mother will be grateful that you skipped it.

Spring is around the corner, which means your lawn will need to be mowed soon! Tune up your lawn mower and you'll reduce emissions up to 50 percent; you'll also cut back on your fuel consumption. Your local hardware shop can tune it for you, or visit www.yardsmarts.com for more information.

The next time you're feeling under the weather, be sure to disinfect your toothbrush when you're finally rebounding. If you don't, you risk reinfecting yourself simply by brushing your teeth! To disinfect, place a wet toothbrush in the microwave for about a minute on high; it'll radiate the germs away. When in doubt, replace the brush with a new one. (What an opportune time to give a recycled Preserve toothbrush a try!)
